Objectives of PAEM
- To uphold the dignity of the Tibb profession and strive to make Tibb-e- Unani widely respected and increasingly beneficial and effective in every possible way. To establish relations with national and international medi cal and non-medical organizations for the promotion of the interests of Tibb-e Unani.
- To study the advancements, new research, and discoveries taking place in the world of medicine, and—if such developments do not conflict with the funda mental principles of Tibb-e-Unani while offering genuine benefits—incorporate them into the practice of Tibb-e-Unani.
- To arrange and provide the highest standard of academic and practical educa tion in the field of medicine. For this purpose, to establish or cause to be estab lished advanced and quality medical institutions in accordance with the needs of the time.
- To establish a permanent institution for the translation and compilation of med ical literature, both classical and modern, and to publish medical manuscripts and journals that can promote the principles of Tibb-e-Unani not only within the country but also in developed nations.
- To promote Hakims and herbal physicians, make them respectable in society, restore their professional standing and position, safeguard their rights, and make every rightful and constitutional effort to secure from the government all the en titlements due to a physician by virtue of their professional status. To unite phy sicians and various medical associations by bringing them together under one central platform.
- To stay informed about the conditions and practices of medical institutions, medical colleges, and government or semi-government media across Pakistan, to offer them valuable advice, and to engage them in efforts for the advance ment of Tibb-e-Unani.
- To cooperate with the government and civic bodies for the improvement of na tional health, and to engage the members of the Association, as well as interna tional health organisations—particularly the World Health Organization—in ad dressing health issues in Pakistan specifically, and across the world in general.
- To make proper arrangements for the supply of authentic and genuine ingredi ents, and in this regard, to urge the government to establish one or more control laboratories in Pakistan, so that physicians may obtain genuine ingredients for use in their Matabs.
- To provide advice to herbal physicians for the reform, development, and organi sation of existing dispensaries/Matabs, and to help raise their standards.
- To establish Matabs in rural areas of the country
- To establish Tibbi hospitals in the country
- To organise conferences and exhibitions in major cities across the country to make Tibb-e-Unani a favoured choice and effective to all, as well as to promote and ensure the success of the Association. Additionally, to safeguard the inter ests and dignity of the Association at all costs.
